Newtown Location and Vibrant Community

Your time at Moore College will give you lifelong memories of good times and great friendships. Located about 10 minutes by road from the CBD, there’s so much on offer at our main campus in Newtown to help make your time at college memorable and worthwhile.

The College’s community allows students to be given strong support academically, socially and spiritually, which leads to a transformative experience. Moore College primarily teaches in the context of a live-in community, allowing students to be better equipped to love God and love people in fellowship with each other.

Newtown is an inner city suburb with a rich history.  It is known in Sydney as the home of The University of Sydney (directly adjacent to Moore College on Carillon Avenue). It is famous for its King Street strip of cafés, resturants and interesting shops, and its vibrant, eclectic urban culture.

Dining Room and Meals

A key part of college life and community is sharing in fellowship together over meals. Morning tea is provided to all students on week days during term time.

Sit-down lunches are provided in the dining room to all full-time students and part-time students attending college on the day of their classes.

Single students are provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner Mon-Fri* in the dining room as part of their accommodation charges.

*On weekends it is breakfast and dinner on Saturdays and breakfast only on Sundays. There are no meals on public holidays or during vacation weekends.
