While the College focuses on theological formation it also prepares students for a lifetime of ministry.
Ministry employment during College
Through all their studies, students must be actively involved in church life through being student ministers. The College helps connect churches seeking students with students available to work in these churches. Firstly, students are connected to churches for ministry training during their studies. We also receive advertisements for ministry jobs from churches and other organisations in Sydney, around Australia and from across the world. Our jobs website links students to these advertisements.
Where do our graduates serve post-College?
Graduates head off into a wide variety of occupations. Some enter Anglican ordained ministry either in Sydney, around Australia, and across the world. Other Moore College graduates serve in a variety of positions in churches and other organisations which include: women’s, children’s, youth, families’ workers, church evangelists and church planters.
Ministry positions in other organisations include: missionary work and other types of cross-cultural work, school, hospital, and community chaplaincy, chaplaincy in the defence forces, Christian Studies teachers and Scripture teachers, student work in universities and TAFE, staff workers with Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students, community workers in nursing homes and retirement villages.
Some of our graduates return to the workforce and their churches better trained and equipped to serve God in their roles.
Graduates from the postgraduate research programs teach in theological seminaries and Bible colleges across the world.
"In each of the recent years the College has received more requests for filling positions outside of Sydney and Australia than we have sufficient graduates to fill." - Rev Archie Poulos.
The College runs a website for students that lists advertisements for ministry positions received by the College. Each year we receive many job advertisments for ministry positions in Sydney, Australia and overseas. We currently have advertisements featured on the jobs site.
